  • Job Description

    Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images electronically. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Call rotation is required, typically one night per week and rotating weekends/holidays.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience:

    • Two years related experience in imaging field.

    Licensure/Certification:

    • A.R.R.T. Registration in Radiography required and MRI registry required within 18 mths of hire.
    • BLS Required within 60 days of hire.
