    Responsible for overseeing & coordinating operations of the Kootenai Clinic Appointment Center which serves as a single point of contact for patients and physicians requesting services within Kootenai Clinic. Understands care transitions and billing requirements and how those translate into patient appointment needs. Responsible for using operational metrics to optimize practice schedules and productivity. Maintains excellent relationships with providers and managers by proactively communicating issues and collaboratively problem-solving. Responsible for monitoring referral patterns within Kootenai Clinic practices and identifying opportunities to impact services and operational revenue. Translates strategic directives into tactical initiatives, leading performance improvement activities to meet the expectations of today's healthcare consumer. Responsible for developing and monitoring overall budget and the ongoing financial management of assigned areas. Responsible for ensuring accuracy of data tracking and statistics. Uses analytic skills to assess trends and improvement opportunities to maintain/improve patient volumes and access to care. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A high degree of creativity and latitude is required. Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration/management, nursing leadership or business related field required.

    2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare administrative setting required.

    3. Experience working with various clinical information systems and data analysis.

    4. Broad and intensive knowledge of hospital administrative and allied health practices to include knowledge of the clinical program development, revenue cycle management, and marketing and performance improvement.

    Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements):

    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
    • Majority of shift spent sitting.
    • No or very limited physical effort required.
    • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
    • Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone.
    • Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.

    Work Environment:

    · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients.

    · Kootenai Health Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs therefore availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required.

    · Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
