    The Applications Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert providing ongoing support while triaging application on various platforms, troubleshooting issues in customized environments, working with vendors on upgrades, configuration, and installation of applications, and driving resolution on critical and chronic issues. Acts as a consultant during project implementations to address system availability and critical application support issues and will work with and support the server team and network team during the implementation of production changes, software integration, hardware upgrades, and assigned projects. Performs system analysis and performance analysis as needed. Works with server engineers, network engineers, third party vendors, software developers, and database administrators to quickly resolve incidents and service requests for the enterprise. Maintains and contributes to the knowledgebase. May be asked to create and maintain interfaces. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. BA or BS in related field or 5 years' experience in inpatient, ambulatory or IT Support required

    2. 2 years' experience as a project resource preferred

    Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements):

    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
    • Majority of shift spent sitting.
    • No or very limited physical effort required.
    • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
    • Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone.
    • Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.

    Work Environment:

    · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients.

    · Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
